Liesbet Hooghe is the W.R. Kenan Distinguished Professor of Political Science at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Tobias Lenz is Assistant Professor at the University of Goettingen, Germany, and the GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies, Hamburg.
