In our experience as assisted living home owners we have seen the struggle that entering into the health care system can be for many families. Ver little exists to assist you adn what is available is generally in bits and pieces and tends to be largely disconnected. In this book we have sought to simplify the process and take out some of the mystery so that the reader might be able to approach what is otherwise a challenging season with much greater confidence. It is an unusual woman with an unusual passion for people who would be willing to raise her children in a foreign land and then return home to build a business from zero for the sake of serving others. Tammy and her family spent seven years working for a nonprofit agency, training leaders in Brazil and around the world, before returning to Tucson, where she has poured herself into learning what it takes to run a business and take care of vulnerable adults at the highest possible level. Since 2004 she and her family have established three of Tucson's finest assisted living homes.
