Biografische Anmerkung

Are you looking for an engaging children's book to teach your kids about breast cancer? This is it!
"Mommy Has a Boo-Boo" helps kids ages 3-9 learn what their Mommy is going through. The book explains that you can't see the boo-boo and tells the kids what it is called: Cancer.
It goes through the timeline of what one mommy went through - from having surgery and losing her breasts, to having to go through chemotherapy and losing her hair.
Mommy may look different, and it will take time for Mommy to heal - but in the end, she will get better!
From Readers:
"Highly recommend. This story is a perfectly sweet, simple way to describe to your young child exactly what is to come. My daughter asks me to read it over and over and it helps stimulate great conversation and questions."

Marci Greenberg Cox was born and raised in Solon, OH and currently resides in Buffalo, MO. Though she was a full-time Realtor, she decided to write a children's book-Mommy Has a Boo-Boo: Explaining Breast Cancer to Children-to aid in her healing after receiving a Stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis in 2018. She has also written a series of journals and even collaborated with her daughter to publish a variety of coloring books. In creating The Fight Back series, Marci set out to write a book for children so they see themselves in the story and know they are not alone as true superheroes in their fight against cancer.
