Conversations with Rumi
Rumi: Dan, I've seen your work...
Dan: Well, I chose you as an archetypal partner, and I've tried to embody Love in my writing...
Rumi: Be careful about your writing...
Dan: What do you mean?
Rumi: You write some very wonderful things, but you can taint them with distasteful words...
Dan: My messages can be spicy...
Rumi: Yes, and they can conflict with the very Love you write about...
Dan: I guess I know deep down they can...
Rumi: So if you're walking with me, run and dance with the swirling wind...Be a pearl in the ocean sand...Join your words with the holy tongues of waterfalls...Let them flow like the unstoppable red hot lava from a volcano...but give them with the grace of God...
Dan: And don't diss G.W. and the Republican party???
Rumi: They are doing the best they can on one plane...You are doing your best on another...
Dan: I suppose you're right...
Rumi: Rise into the clouds...Mate with the raindrops...Let your love rain down on every living thing...
Dan: Thank you Rumi...
