The town of Fleetwood is surrounded with murder and mystery as Cash Wheeler and his friends try to maintain their innocence of a deadly accident they weren't involved in, years earlier, after a deadly street race claims the life of a friend. With the help of their boss, Clon Doosby, a famous car builder, and F.B.I. Agent Roman Turner, they form the Lead Foot Posse. Cash then tries to infiltrate an illegal racing circuit by entering his prized '55 Chevy in a race, only the plan is foiled by an unexpected challenger.
