The conference discussed the latest work in the ever-widening field of rheology - the study of the flow and deformation of matter. All materials with interesting mechanical properties, ranging from glassy and semi-crystalline solids to low viscosity, easily pourable liquids, were discussed. These include synthetic and biological polymer liquids, gels and networks, colloidal suspensions, foods, surfactants, emulsions and foams. New experimental methods, simple and complex flows, and processing methods for interesting materials were discussed by experts from around the world.
