As she prepares for her graduation ceremony, a first grader-to-be remembers her enjoyable year in kindergarten.

Author Nancy Loewen has published more than 100 books for children. She has a B.A. in English and an M.F.A. in creative writing from Hamline University, St. Paul. She lives in the Twin Cities with her husband, two children, two cats, a chubby beagle, and an even chubbier guinea pig, who likes to nibble on her toes while she writes.
