Klappentext

Andrew Shaffer is the New York Times bestselling author of the Obama Biden Mysteries from Quirk Books, including the instant national bestseller Hope Never Dies. His latest novel is Feel the Bern: A Bernie Sanders Mystery (Ten Speed Press/Penguin Random House). In 2013, Shaffer published Literary Rogues: A Scandalous History of Wayward Authors (Harper Perennial), a nonfiction look at the lives of some of the writing world’s most scandalous authors, from Oscar Wilde to Ernest Hemingway. As an artist, Shaffer’s illustrations and designs have been featured in magazines such as Heavy Metal and FHM and on Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report. An Iowa native, Shaffer lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife, novelist and screenwriter Meg Shaffer, and two cats, MoonPie and Sweet Guillermo Jones. The cats are unpublished.

At the intersection of I Could Pee on This: And Other Poems by Cats and Writers and Their Cats comes a captivating coloring book that will charm cat people, delight book lovers, and please pun enthusiasts and everyone in between.

Literary Cats Coloring Book presents 37 of everyone’s favorite literary authors reimagined as cats—Edgar Allan Poe becomes Edgar Allan Toe-Beans; Louisa May Alcott becomes Louisa May Alleycat; Jane Austen becomes Jane Pawsten; Oscar Wilde becomes Oscar Wildcat; Zora Neale Hurston becomes Zora Neale Furston, and many more.

Alongside charming and whimsical black-and-white illustrations are short biographies about each literary hero and their connection to cats. It’s the purrfect activity for a creative afternoon spent coloring or snuggled up with your favorite furry friend.
