William Miniver is a lifelong lover of nature. When he was a boy growing up in New York, one of his favorite activities was looking for finds to add to his nature collection. One of the stars of his collection was a piece of driftwood, which he found on a beach on Long Island. Today, William lives in Georgia. He enjoys hiking and exploring nature with his children, and is still looking for new finds.
Charles Vess is a critically acclaimed artist and comic book illustrator. He has previously collaborated with renowned authors such as Neil Gaiman and Charles de Lint, and he most recently illustrated The Books of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin (Saga Press).
