Charles G. Nauert is Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Missouri-Columbia. In 2002, the Sixteenth Century Studies Conference named him the first recipient of its Bodo Nischan Award "for scholarship, civility, and service." In 1991 he received the Thomas Jefferson Award.
