Last Steps: Maurice Blanchot's Exilic Writings addresses the later works of the influential French writer and theorist, Maurice Blanchot. It offers a sustained reading of Blanchot's The Step Not Beyond that is prepared by interpretive presentations of a number of Blanchot's important writings of the post-war period and a chapter on the thought of Emmanuel Levinas. It follows Blanchot's attempt to expose the grounds of human relation through some of the most ground-breaking literary and philosophical explorations of the 20th century.
