Lev Semenovich Pontryagin turned 75 in 1983. To mark this important event in the life of this outstanding contemporary mathematician is a publication of his scientific works in four volumes. This volume contains the most important mathematical papers of Pontryagin and also includes a bibliography of his basic scientific works.
