Reinforcement for polymer matrix composites may not grab headlines, but it is one of the most important applications of carbon nanotubes (CNTs). This book highlights those areas where fabrication has proven difficult due to CNT entanglement and poor interfacial interactions among the CNTs and polymers. The text outlines how to specifically functionalize CNTs and control their surface functionalities to enhance the interfacial interactions with polymer matrix.
