Racing and chasing, they go from one dazzling room to the next, while the objects around them have their comic say about the commotion. "What a mess!" said the dress. "Just crazy," said the daisy. The wordplay is catchy and the action is nonstop, until finally the morning dawns. "That's all, " said the ball. With its sing-song verse and colorful pictures, it is perfect for story time. "This is great," said the plate. Children will be sure to ask for it again and again!

Monica Wellington was born in London and lived in Switzerland and Germany as a child. She has written and illustrated many books for young children, including Apple Farmer Annie, Zinnia's Flower Garden, Crepes by Suzette, and Mr. Cookie Baker. She now lives in New York City. Some of her favorites things are: making desserts, eating chocolate, traveling to France, going to museums, and reading a book with her cat. She teaches at the School of Visual Arts.
