This volume contains two novels by southern fiction writer David A. Myers. Katelyn Manor introduced the mountain village of Arab, a town situated on Brindlee Mountain in the Appalachian foothills. The events that take place in the story are centered around the activities of a tight group of confederates who call themselves Le Cercle de Speculation. Le Cercle meets over wine, crackers and cheese to discuss and solve issues confronting the world. It isn't long, however, before much more immediate concerns demand their attention.
