Biografische Anmerkung

This edited volume analyses the 100 years of Irish republican violence from the Easter Rising of 1916 to the present. The contributions assess the evolution of paramilitary violence through a variety of themes, including the IRA from 1919-21, the case of 'the Disappeared', the relationship between counterterrorism killings and Provisional IRA bombings, and modern-day violent dissident republican statements. Closing the volume are interviews with two key actors within the Troubles, Danny Morrison and Billy Hutchinson, where they discuss their own perspectives on Irish republican paramilitary violence. This book was originally published as a special issue of Terrorism and Political Violence.
