The relationship between environmentally sustainable development and company and business law has emerged in recent years as a matter of major concern for many scholars, policy-makers, businesses and nongovernmental organisations. Beate Sjåfjell is Professor Dr. Juris at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Law, Department of Private Law. She is the head of the Sustainable Companies project, and head of the Company Law Research Group and the European Law Network at the Faculty of Law in Oslo.


Anja Wiesbrock is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Law, Department of Private Law. She has previously worked as an Assistant Professor in EU Law at the University of Maastricht and holds a PhD from the same institution.
