Ordinary citizens are committing heinous acts of violence: a babysitter, a UPS driver, a college professor. Why are these seemingly normal New Yorkers committing such crimes? Homicide Detective Iris Williams and her partner Detective Annette are assigned to a case so baffling that it will leave them dumbfounded. In 1975, escaping the clutches of the law, a notorious killer finds refuge in the Marines. But his dark past catches up with him when his commanding officer and the rest of his battalion uncover his true identity. Left for dead in the unforgiving jungle by his comrades, the killer's survival instinct kicks in.
Forty years later, the killer emerges from the shadows, driven by the thirst for vengeance, he hunts down those who left him behind. A chilling game of cat and mouse ensues between the killer and Detective Iris Williams and her partner Annette Toni. The case becomes personal for the detectives when the madman attacks Iris in her home.
