Biografische Anmerkung

From volcanoes and lava lakes to dinosaurs and the ascent of humans, this well-crafted and beautifully illustrated book is perfect for reading to little minds whose imaginations are bursting with questions.

Born and raised in Brentwood, Essex, Joshua was raised on a mixed diet of sturdy Christian sensibility and early naughties teenage tomfoolery. He left home at 18 and travelled the jungles, mountains and plains of eastern and southern Africa. Whilst volunteering in Tanzania he developed a passion for story-telling, teaching and photography as well as life-long love for the awe-inspiring splendour of the natural world. After graduating from the University of Chichester (with a 'just about' respectable 2:2) in Performing Arts with Design for Digital Media, Joshua jumped on a cruise ship where he lived and worked as a commissioned photographer, sailing the Mediterranean and Caribbean and pestering passengers at dinner time to meet his quota. When cabin fever finally set in and his credit at the crew bar had maxed out, Joshua moved back to Brentwood and set up a wedding photography business, subsidised largely by shifts at a local Irish whisky bar. In 2014 Joshua was awarded Qualified Teacher Status by Canterbury Christchurch University and worked as a Primary School teacher in Romford where he shared his love of books, writing and story-telling with eager audiences. In 2016 Joshua met a girl on Plenty of Fish and is now happily married with a one-year old son, living the suburban dream in Surrey. Still a Primary School teacher, he writes epic fantasy and children's story books in any spare time afforded to him.
