Thrust into the disorientation of new culture, I was compelled to deep searching. From suburbia to treacherous roads to post-Soviet fog, I share my trek from naiveté to disappointment through self-misunderstanding to acceptance toward foothills of joy.

My passion has always been my family, the gatherings, the reunions, and especially, the elderly and the children who were intriguing to me; it made a lasting impression. Listen to stories of how they made the best of it. I enjoy dabbling in photography, writing, nature, and listening to smooth jazz.
I reside in LaFayette, Alabama, where the winters are warm and summers are hotter! I graduated from LaFayette High School in 1980 and also from Chambers County Trade School of Cosmetology School in 1978-1980.
