Biografische Anmerkung

Wes Templeton has retired from sheriff at the town of Medina after a long and legendary career of bringing law and order to the once wild community who's highlights included putting the notorious Wade Kash in federal prison for life.

But Kash wangles an early pardon and is free to return not only to Medina but his murderous ways after Wes has put down his badge and turned to ranching far away. When Wes's replacement, Tom Martin is ambushed and killed the town is once again wide open to the depredations of Kash and his gang of cutthroats.

Unable to find anyone willing to pin on the badge, the mayor and city council ask Wes to come back one more time, even though he originally has his two brothers to help clean up Medina. Now in his early 50s, is he still fast and fearless enough to do it? That's the question he asks even himself in this western thriller.
