Billy Wild's one big wish for a dog has been answered: a greyhound has appeared in his garden shed.
Billy's pretty sure it's a miracle. He has to keep Dog a secret from Dad, though, and from Dog's old home - a cruel farm where greyhounds are bred for racing then forgotten behind bars. But hiding a dog is a hard task, and when Billy's classmate Paris enters them all in a local talent show, it gets even tougher!
