Onion Buddy is a celebration of 'different is beautiful'. The story is for every child. It is about a young boy in the form of an onion who is learning to navigate through some of the common challenges of childhood, including desperately wanting to feel accepted, and knowing when to stand up for oneself. His mother is his greatest support, as she bolsters her son with words of positive encouragement and devoted love. His self-realisation is the turning point in his colourful and cheerful 'blooming'.

Shabana is a designer who loves to write and illustrate. She is inspired by other cultures around the world and loves to observe trends and design changes in everyday life for inspiration. Her fuel is a secret blend of tea and malted milk biscuits.
