Timothy J. Bruce, Ph.D., is Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where he is also Co-director of the Anxiety and Mood Disorders Clinic and Director of Medical Student Education. A consultant to public and private mental health agencies as well as the author of journal articles, book chapters, and professional educational materials in psychiatry and psychology, Dr. Bruce has been cited repeatedly for excellence in teaching. He conducts research in the area of evidence-based treatment of anxiety and mood disorders and maintains an active clinical practice in Peoria as well. William C. Sanderson, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Psychology at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Dr. Sanderson, who completed a clinical fellowship in cognitive therapy with Dr. Aaron Beck at the University of Pennsylvania and specialized in the treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders, has published three books and more than sixty chapters and articles. An appointed advisor to the DSM-IV Anxiety Disorders Workgroup, he is currently a member of the Task Force on Psychological Interventions, APA Division of Clinical Psychology.
