Biografische Anmerkung

Novel 1 - AN ELONGATED SHADOW - Subhas, the pivotal character of this novel observes life at very close quarters. To him the most amazing thing is this human being with whom he interacts. The gradual deterioration of human values, the bizarre society where only money counts so much and the duplicity of the so-called educated drives him distraught. He feels himself drifted away, almost marooned and the sum of life he has been working out so far proved a huge miscalculation leaving him in the lurch, but there is no going back.
Life, a sobriquet of an enigma, is like an inscrutable territory where many things remain concealed, and a much deeper aspect is still to be revealed. Strange...strange are the ways of life.
Novel 2 - BAYING AT THE MOON - This novel is a fusion of my bitter experiences and inner psychic reactions to sufferings and sufferers. From a vantage point when I observe the way of the world, very often I question myself, " Is everything we do is preordained ? The reply I receive is always equivocal. I think my conclusion (if I have come to) on this controversial issue still remains a moot point. Similar complicated questions, intriguing and relevant in this context, which sometimes jumble my mind, remain insoluble. Being inquisitive I fumble around looking for that open sesame. But I get completely lost in the maze, searching frantically for that much sought-after thing. Like many other mysterious things this too poses enigmatic, and I have been hunting for the clues for its consummate solutions and the hunt is on. I am keen to keep my quest unhampered and unremitting.
Life itself is a novel. I discern no such glaring discrepancy between the two. As novel reveals a panoramic picture of day-to-day events of the world, it is inextricably linked with life
or bound up with each other. It is a true mirror on which the harsh reality of life is reflected.
Novel 3 - DREAM PEDDLERS - Life is undoubtedly a curious and hard combinations of odd situations. So far as ' Dream Peddlers' is concerned, I would like to say candidly, this novel is neither the prototype nor the blue print of my life. But there is a distinct touch of autobiography as I am inextricably linked with all these events. We are agog when our cherished desires - our dreams are fulfilled. Tom, Dick and Harry are not exception to that. 'Dream Peddlers' apparently looks a combination of different chapters depicting the character of different persons but actually it is a seamless novel, and the protagonist Sambit is omnipresent at every page of this book.
