This compelling series of stories by D.R. Hill was shortlisted as one of three collections for the prestigious Eyelands International Book Awards. The stories and novellas are moving and sometimes shocking, offering recurring themes of lost love, response to violent death, and the challenges of coping with injustice. D.R. Hill is originally from Birmingham, UK and has an Honours Degree from the University of Hull and an MA in Acting from the University of Essex. He has worked as a theatre and arts practitioner and manager. Previous publications include Under Scan (co-written with Rafael Lozano-Hemmer), Voices of Culture (The Role of Culture in Promoting Refugee Inclusion) co-written as a commission from the European Union, and ArtReach - 25 Years of Cultural Development. His short stories '3250' and 'House Clearance' have both been published by Bandit Fiction and in 2021 he was shortlisted for a second time for Eyelands International Book Awards, this time for his novel, From Now On. He has also had plays performed by Theatre Station Blyth and Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham and co-wrote Peace in Our Town with Barrie Keeffe. He is married with two sons and lives in Berkshire.
