David Clerson was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, in 1978 and lives in Montreal. He was a finalist in Radio-Canada's 2012 short story competition. Brothers is his first novel. Katia Grubisic has been working as a writer, translator and editor for fifteen years, and has published poetry, fiction, translations, and criticism in Canada and internationally.

It is an original piece of fiction, steeped in myth and fable, a reflection of our own familiar surroundings in a distorting mirror.This world of "e;monstrous creatures, bigger than anything they could imagine, two-headed fish, turtles with shells as huge as islands, whales with mouths big enough to swallow up whole cities"e; is seen through the eyes of two brothers, the elder brother missing an arm, the younger fashioned by his mother from that arm.
