Darren Gate is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Glasgow. He won the Kelpies Design and Illustration Prize in 2016, and was shortlisted for the Bologna Children¿s Book Illustration Prize. He has illustrated several books for children, including the first book in the Fact-tastic Stories from Scotland's History series, A Secret Diary of the First World War.
