This book describes a number of systems-level 'patterns' (pre-defined, reusable sets of views) that may be applied using the systems modelling language SysML for the development of any number of different applications and as the foundations for a system model.

Professor Jon Holt is a leading figure in the world of systems engineering and the author of ten books in the field of applied Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and the STEM children's book 'Think Engineer'. He is a Director for Scarecrow Consultants Ltd, works in many industries and has applied his work in many disciplines. He is also a Fellow of both the IET and the BCS and is the current Technical Director of INCOSE UK. Jon also holds a Chair in Systems Engineering at Cranfield University.
