Translation is intercultural communication in its purest form. Said Faiq is Associate Professor of Translation Studies at the American University of Sharjah, where he is Chair of the Department of English & Translation Studies and Director of the Graduate program in Translation & Interpreting. Prior to this, he taught at the School of Languages, Salford University, UK. He has published widely on (Arabic) translation and cultural studies.
