Biografische Anmerkung

It's the third in Archie's dynamic "New Look" series! For years, Archie fans the world over wondered what their favorite Riverdale teens would look like if rendered in a realistic style. Archie Comics answered the question with the ground-breaking, pulse-pounding, media-grabbing story: "Betty & Veronica: Bad Boy Trouble"! The success of that story prompted them to create an entire "New Look" series, continuing with "Jughead: The Matchmakers"! Now, Archie Comics adds to the series the next exciting installment, reprinting the entirety of "Moose & Midge: Breakup Blues" from Pals 'n' Gals Double Digest #125-128. When Midge decides to go on a date with Reggie Mantle behind Moose's back, the relationship dissolves before their friends' very eyes! Can Betty, Archie, and Veronica help the two former lovebirds see the light and rekindle the flame between them? You'll never guess who comes to the rescue in this captivating story, masterfully penciled in the realistic style by Tod Smith. Let's just hope Riverdale can survive the epic rift!

Todd Smith studied at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Arts. Between 1983 and 1988, he worked on DC titles like 'Green Lantern', 'Blue Devil', 'Peacemaker' and 'Vigilante'. He then turned to Marvel, where he drew 'The Punisher', 'Silver Surfer' and 'Green Goblin' until 1992. At Now Comics, he illustrated 'The Green Hornet' from 1990 to 1992. He has worked on a 'Zorro' newspaper strip with writer Don McGregor and fellow artist Thomas Yeates from 1999 to 2001.
