The second book tells how The Five got started. After the successful liberation of William Bradford plantation The Five is setting around a campfire telling stories, until someone asks Scott Martin how The Five got started. In The Origin each member tells their own story.

Before Bruce Scott wrote The Five he had a lot of jobs, until he found himself in writing The Five series. The jobs went from working at Kentucky Fried Chicken, working at a warehouse, to transporting the handicapped throughout the city, and being a Security Guard.
