The research and development institute of Korea Tooth Bank is developing tooth-derived bone graft materials since 2009. For the past decade, we have been doing developmental basic researches and clinical applications. The first tooth derived material as demineralized dentin matrix was approved as New Excellent Technology(NET) for ¿graft material processing technique using auto-tooth¿ in 2012, and as New Health Technology Assessment (NHTA) for ¿autogenous tooth derived bone graft¿ in 2015 by Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea. This book is gathering the articles about in vitro, in vivo and clinical studies of demineralized dentin matrix performed by, and in related with Korea Tooth Bank for the last several years that shows excellent outcomes based on the basic sciences and pioneering clinical application. New technique using the tooth materials-especially dentin-provide realistic and practical regenerative medicine for all dentists and patients. I hope that this book will promote the concept of bio-recycling of tooth in regenerative medicine and will serve as a stimulus for further advancement by ambitious researchers and clinicians.

He is a faculty member of OMS at University Hospital and Board of Korea Academy of Dental Science. He founded Korea Tooth Bank(KTB) and developed a novel bone graft material from tooth. KTB has developed AutoBT(powder/block/moldable/BMP) and HuBT.
