Information Systems have brought revolution in the working of industries, corporate and have transformed the life style of human being in the present times. The key necessity of information systems is proper information gathering, processing and distribution that depend on two major technologies, computers and communication. Communication systems are dependent on the networks and other various technologies. Wireless networks and photonic networks provide high speed communication. Wireless technology has become one of the fastest growing telecommunication segments. Wireless communication networks such as cellular, satellite and cordless phones, as well as Wireless Local Loops (WLLs) have found widespread use and have become an essential tool for numerous people in their daily life. Information system based applications include e-commerce, supply chain, Video on Demand systems etc. Study of traffic management and performance evaluation of these systems will help in improving these systems to cater to future requirements.



Dr. Vidushi Sharma is Assistant Professor at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida India. She did her Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2008 and has more than 16 years of experience in education and industry. Her research interests lie in Networks, Information Technology Management and Ecommerce. She has guided 2 Ph.D. in Wireless Sensor Networks.
