Naturally, the plants are nature¿s best gift to cure a number of diseases of human and animal. The Herbal medicine involves the uses of plants for medicinal purposes. Respiratory track infection is a most common one in the children and adult also. The traditional medicine system continues to play an essential role in care, with about 80% of the world¿s inhabitants relying mainly an traditional medicines for their primary health care. India has several traditional medical systems, such as Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani, which has survived through more than 3000 years, mainly using plant based drugs. Hence, the present study is focused on the phytochemical constitutes of Alpinia calcarata towards the control/treatment of the respiratory tract pathogens.



She is working as Assistant professor in Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College with six years of experience. She guided about 10 Master degree students and presented & received best paper award in the national and international conferences. She published five research papers in peer reviewed international journals.
