Biografische Anmerkung

A woman coming from an island call Iran.Yes, is true; Iran as geographically is not an island but since the revolution, practically functioning as an Island. It has isolated itself from the rest of the world and they did the same to Iran too.Foreigners are frightened to visit Iran due to the way the media wrongly represents the country and Iranians are not allowed to travel easily to most countries. Thus, Iranian do not know many real things about other countries and they don't know the reality about Iran either. For them the middle east is this: They all are in a direct war with the USA; they all wear veils; is a desert; the language is Arabic and the only religion is Islam.NO, absolutely no.There are at least seventeen countries in this rejoin and there is a diversity of language, culture and climate. Because of all these misunderstandings, I feel imprisoned and living in a far island by no means to communicate and no opportunity to show how Iran really like. This book is about the smallest community far from big cities which they are unique and they show transparently their thought, beliefs, interests and etc.In contrary to people living in a city with all censorship in their mind.

My name is Farzaneh(wise,)Ferdowsi(a famous Persian poet), Milani(my parents origin), they speak Turkish.I born in Tehran with Farsi and Islam as the official language and religion. We still use the Zoroastrian calendar. All these has given me different identities. Studying art helped me capture and understand myself and the world a little better.
