Biografische Anmerkung

Transition metal oxide semiconductors are known to be functional category of materials with extensive demand for large scale production at lower costs. Fact in the present technologies remain with easy tuneability and altering in material properties that make them efficient for wide ranging applications such as smart windows, sensors, photoelectrics, solar cells, photocatalysis and etc. Their physical and chemical properties are influenced by the invariant surface structures affecting the surface energy and bonding that can be controlled by various synthesis approaches. Thus, in perspective of energy storage system, ion holding capacity and efficient use of solar energy, tungsten trioxide and zinc oxide are the most researched material due to their simple and viable construction with effective visible light harvesting ability. Thus, the present investigation aims to develop different nanostructures of tungsten trioxide having polymorphic variation and zinc oxide nanoparticles by wet chemical methods for efficient assessment of electrochromic and photocatalytic application.

Dr. Sangeeta Adhikari pursued her Ph.D. research in Ceramic Engineering at NIT-Rourkela. Presently, she is a Postdoctoral Fellow under UCG-Dr. D. S. Kothari Fellowship Scheme at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Her work focuses on chemistry of nanomaterials and their applications in the field of energy, environment and human health.
