Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a self organizing network with nodes moving arbitrarily making the topology highly dynamic. This dynamic nature increases the complexity of the network and hence measuring the performance of network is difficult. The complexity in this book is referred to the connectivity between the mobile nodes, which is directly related with the reliability of the network. Reliability has been considered as the most important criteria for measuring the performance of MANET. The objective of this book is to evaluate the reliability of MANET under several conditions, situations viz., capacity constraints, mobility constraints and different propagation model. The proposed approaches and its results can help the technology developer/designer to design an optimized network that can operate under all types of environmental conditions and constraints.
