Biografische Anmerkung

The field experiment was conducted to study the ¿Ecofriendly management of pod borer complex on pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan) in Nagpur vicinity¿ at College of Agriculture farm, Nagpur, during kharif season of 2013-14, in randomized block design with four replications. Total six treatments viz., Metarhizium anisopliae (108), Beauveria bassiana (108), NSE 5%, azadirachtin 1500 ppm, emamectin benzoate 5 SC including untreated control were studied. The observation on larval reduction of pod borer complex were recorded at 3, 7 and 10 days after each spray. Pod damage and natural enemies were also recorded. The yield of pigeonpea was also recorded and finally the incremental cost benefit ratio was calculated. The treatment emamectin benzoate 5 SC emerged out as the most superior one against pigeonpea pod borer complex in reducing the larval reduction and damage to the pods. Another treatments viz. Beauveria bassiana (108) and Metarhizium anisopliae (108) has also performed better and emerged as next effective treatments against this pest complex and recorded significant reduction in larval and pod damage.
