The book talks about the policy for industrial area planning in India. Land being a state subject, every state in India has a different policy for promotion and development of industrial area. looking into the existing policy for state of Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka, Kerala and Rajasthan; and studding the problems faced by the industrialist and city administrators in the industrial areas developed with the existing policy. The author(s) try to evolve a new set of policy guidelines under the head of site zoning, Administrative Setup, Land use Planning, Infrastructure and Environment which would help to develop future industrial areas.
