Dental instruments and the art of using them in periodontal procedures (instrumentation) have come a long way. The dental surgeon is free to choose from a vast array of instrument designs and materials to improve the quality of treatment for the patient while improving the work environment simultaneously. Further, the growing awareness of the link between oral and systemic health has increased the importance of providing accurate, complete and comfortable intraoral assessment and treatment.

DR. AISHAAN SHARMAHe has completed his bachelors from IDS, Jammu and is currently pursuing his masters in Periodontology from SGT University, Haryana. He has a keen interest in clinical and epidemiological research work and is currently involved in a number of projects.
