Teaching and learning in the new normal education are big challenges for the teachers and learners which brought about by COVID-19 pandemic, making teachers adjusting to the use of different strategies in delivering the lessons effectively and in lined with the current situation. During the pandemic, the Department of Education conducted series of steps to ensure that the quality of teaching will take place amidst pandemic. The study revealed that effective online teaching strategies can help to motivate the learners in the new normal. These includes technology-based instructions and online applications used in distance learning. Re-structuring the lessons reinforce routines, scaffold learning via specific steps and activities, and optimize time on task and classroom climate using smooth transitions. Planned sequencing of teaching and learning activities stimulates and maintains engagement by linking lesson and unit learning. Motivational Activity Plans were formulated and recommended to develop for the School¿s Continues Improvement plans such as Interactive games, video lessons, online games and audio-visual instructional activities.
