Stella Eich was born in Hamburg in 1984 and studied communication design there. After graduating, she worked for a short time in packaging design, but then decided to study veterinary medicine in Munich. Only two years later he returned to Hamburg and worked in a theater for a few years before finally finding his way back to drawing. In 2021 she started freelancing as an illustrator. Her first book was nominated for the German Children's Book Prize 2022; since then a few more children's books have been published.
