There is a general perception that the solution to societal problems lies in changing schools' curricula. Rarely is that the case because the change process is immensely complex and requires multi-agency involvement. Change is a journey, not a blueprint. Zellynne Jennings is Professor Emerita of the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. She is also a former Professor of Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of Guyana. She has published widely on curriculum change in the Caribbean and has co-authored two books, including one on Issues and Perspectives on Education in the Commonwealth Caribbean. In 2017 she was awarded the Prime Minister's Medal of Appreciation for Service to Education in Jamaica.
