Jin Bei, his professional titles include: Academy Member of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Research Fellow with the Institute of Industrial Economics (IIE) of CASS, Professor with the Graduate School of CASS, President of the Chinese Association for Regional Economics (CARE), Vice President of the Chinese Association for Industrial Economics, President of China Business Journal, Editor-in-Chief of China Economist.

He has published over 40 academic monographs and more than 400 academic papers. He has received more than 20 national or ministerial-level awards including the National Best Works Award, Chinese Book Award, the First Chinese Government Award for Publishing, Sun Yefang Economic Science Award, CASS Excellent Achievement Award, as well as Special Award for Strategic Studies.
