In 1976, Steve led a team in planting what be- came the Evanston Vineyard. The church was non-affiliated for eight years and then joined the Vineyard in 1985. Steve led that church for forty-four years. Since 1986, the ministry of theHoly Spirit has been a regular and ongoing strength and em- phasis of the Evanston Vineyard. Steve met John Wimber in 1985 and subsequently joined him in many conferences around the world. Later on, Steve served in various leadership roles in the Vineyard family of churches, and he has led many meetings worldwide.Steve and his wife, Cindy, are now officially "retired" and spend a lot of their time traveling to encourage younger pastors and leaders and to help churches grow in the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
