The stories would fill her mind until she put them down or she would run mad. She worked on her style and voice and read voraciously. She learned from other writers and read books on writing. Until one day, she realized what she really wanted was to write. So, she went to college for writing. Her classes focused on writing for children, but she decided that was not for her. She had spent so many years learning to add detail and texture to her stories that stripping it all out for a children's story hurt. The stories felt naked and thin. No! She needed room to create worlds and creatures! Thin lines of children's stories would not limit her!Finally, finally, little H.L.Anderson, who had spent so many years honing her craft, published her first book.
